UAE launches 180-day entry visa for blue residency applicants

    

In order to streamline applications for the Blue resident, a 10-year resident visa intended for people who significantly contribute to sustainability, renewable energy, and environmental protection, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has instituted a 180-day multiple-entry visa.

🌍 The Blue Residency Visa: What Is It?

People who have made outstanding contributions to areas like sustainability, clean or renewable energy, and environmental preservation are eligible for the Blue Residency, a long-term visa. This program is in line with the UAE's goal of drawing in international talent committed to promoting environmental preservation and sustainability.

The goals of the Blue Residency are:
Distinguished Influencers: People who have made a significant contribution to fields relevant to climate change.

Researchers and Scientists: Those recognized by the UAE Scientists Council who have made noteworthy contributions to the environmental field on a worldwide scale.

Entrepreneurs and investors: Working in fields including renewable energy, sustainability, climate change, and the environment.

Specialists: Experts employed by the UAE's public and private environmental organizations. 


📄 How the 180-Day Entry Visa Application Process Works: 

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) offers a 180-day multiple-entry visa that eligible individuals living outside of the United Arab Emirates can apply for via their website or mobile application. The application procedure entails: 

  1. Filling in personal and supporting details.

  2. Uploading necessary documents, including a valid passport (minimum six months validity), a recent color photograph, and proof of environmental achievements.

  3. Paying the applicable fees.

  4. Submitting the application.

  5. Receiving confirmation via email.   

The application process takes approximately seven minutes, with the service completion time, upon fulfilling all requirements, being one working day.
